Hi, I'm Irene I've set up this blog (with some help from my daughter!) to showcase my little crafty creations. I'm getting back in to knitting (I use to do this when I was younger... about 10 years old! I'm 53 years young now) as well as sewing. So I'll be posting up photos as I go.
A bit about me in general, I love my family very much, adore my persian cats (Merlin and my daughter's cat Gwen) and my border collie Emmylou. We live in Newcastle but would love to move to the Lake District in Cumbria as we spent last Christmas there and it was fabulous. I love cycling, a bit of poetry (especially Tennyson and Wordsworth) and love Elvis and lots of different kinds of music, in particular Pink and Robbie Williams at the moment.
I'm thinking of taking up photography more seriously as I love taking photos and am not bad at it ;) Hmm what else.. love watching ice skating and ballet (i'm not a fuddy duddy I promise!) I love wearing pretty vintage / retro style skirts and generally love all fashion from the sixties (though I'm not too sure I could balance in the shoes I use to wear).
